Summary

Samantha is a certified Exercise and Holistic Lifestyle Coach through the CHEK Institute. She is also trained in SOMAGOLF and the ELDOA Method under the tutelage of expert Osteopath Guy Voyer. She has a Masters degree in Holistic Nutrition and incorporates these approaches within every one of her programs.

She is also a Golf Fitness Coach under the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) level 1 certification program. And the ELDOA for Golf continuing education program through TPI.

Based out of the Lakewood Ranch Athletic Center, Samantha sees clients in person and works with the following fundamental skills required by every golfer: posture, balance, flexibility, power, stability and mobility. 

She also incorporates myofascial stretching, analytical segmental strengthening, proprioception and de-coaptation of the spine into each of her unique and target focused programs. These important aspects are part of the Guy Voyer teachings.

She is focusing her attention to the ELDOA method as she has found this to be the key ingredient to improving the overall health of her golfers who want to feel strong when they finish their rounds.

My History

I used to lead a fast paced, jet setting lifestyle and was always on the lookout for the best party. However, eventually it took its toll and I developed niggling health challenges that wouldn't go away. That being said looking back I am grateful for my debilitating symptoms as that was my 'pain doctor' telling me that I needed to slow down and turn my attention inwards. Ultimately I had to learn how to take responsibility for my health and wellness.

It started in 2000, where I had graduated from university in the UK and soon after became a certified Personal Training and Group Exercise Instructor. I began teaching high impact classes, lifting heavy weights and following mainstream health and fitness guidelines. Needless to say, despite thinking I was turning 'healthy', it wasn't until I became a C.H.E.K certified Exercise Coach and Holistic Lifestyle Coach that I realized that the mainstream approach to health was so damaging and misinformed. I thought I was healthy but was actually placing more stress onto my mind, body and spirit.

In 2006, I became a patient of Dr Dan Kalish, a former C.H.E.K faculty member and we dealt with underlying parasites, dysbiosis, candida, leaky gut, adrenal fatigue and an imbalance in my neurotransmitters. Finally, I found out the root cause of my health challenges. I was so blown away with the results that I enrolled in his first ever Kalish Method Mentorship; a 6 month comprehensive functional medicine practitioner program. It was an invaluable tool and I made a pivotal change in my personal and professional health and wellness approach.

In addition to graduating with a MSc. Holistic Nutrition from Hawthorn University, I was not only able to help clients address their postural imbalances but was now able to thoroughly help them with holistic lifestyle coaching.

In 2012, I moved to the USA permanently and am now based at the Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club. I also teach yoga, core Pilates and Golf & Tennis Conditioning where we focus on strength, flexibility, power and balance.

I'm an avid golfer, ballroom/salsa dancer and love healthy outdoor pursuits. I believe in 'one day at a time' and to trust that 'everything is just as it should be'.
